Featuring back-to-back one act plays, “Double Play” starts with an exploration of the life of one of America’s most iconic baseball players in the new play “Becoming Satchel Paige”. After the seventh inning stretch, we present “Happy”, about a baseball fan who travels to Delray Beach to find “Happy” Haliday, a favorite baseball player from his youth, and to get his signature on a baseball… but what he really gets from “Happy” is priceless. Enjoy a free indoor evening concert with the John Walter concert band, hosted by St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Cape May. Get your toes tapping and your hands clapping as the community concert band for Cape May County takes you to the movies! We are performing an exciting mix of movie soundtracks along with marches and patriotic music used in popular movies that is sure to entertain audiences of all ages. There will be plenty of seats in a climate-controlled room for anyone interested in hearing live music on this Tuesday night. Ocean Galleries Stone Harbor’s premier fine art gallery, presents a compelling selection of artworks from The Art of Dr. Seuss Collection. The exhibition opens Saturday, June 11 and extends through Sunday, June 26, 2022 with two not to be missed gallery receptions Friday, June 17 from 6-9 pm and Saturday, June 18 from 6-9 pm. For over 60 years, Dr. Seuss’s illustrations have brought a visual realization to his fantastic and imaginary worlds. His artistic talent went far beyond the printed page and yet, to this day, his artistic talent is virtually unknown to the general public. Visitors may explore and acquire works from Dr. Seuss’s best-known children’s books, as well as a mind-expanding collection based on decades of artwork. Each of these Estate-Authorized limited editions has been adapted and reproduced from Theodor Seuss Geisel’s original drawings, paintings, or sculptures. Additionally, each work bears a posthumously printed or engraved Dr. Seuss signature, identifying the work as an authorized limited edition commissioned by the Dr. Seuss Estate. 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
